Mitzi is a PhD Candidate at the Australian National University, a Commonwealth Public Servant, a member of the IPAA (Vic) Sustainability Advisory Committee, & a former non-executive Director of the Australasian Land and Groundwater Association.

Mitzi holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours from The University of Melbourne, and a Master of Commercial Laws from Monash University, and was the inaugural Principal Expert - Contaminated Environments at the Victorian Environment Protection Authority.

Mitzi is driven by trying to close the gap between society's stated ideals and the realised outcomes. This drive has seen her focus on all manner of things from marine pollution and bioremediation of mines, to regulation of contaminated sites.  Her research explores the integration of sustainable development within broader public policy development.
